A Tribute to Dave Poleon
Dave, the older brother of our founder, Liesje Dusauzay, was not just a beloved sibling, but a guiding light in her journey. A true tech enthusiast and API developer, Dave's passion for computers was only surpassed by his unwavering support for his little sister.
When Liesje first shared the concept of the Universal Alert . Dave's eyes lit up with enthusiasm, captivated by the sheer brilliance of the idea. He was utterly in awe fascinated by its innovation and potential. Though he typically maintained a respectful distance from her projects, Dave couldn't help but take an interest in her work, offering valuable advice and insights. Their bond as siblings was fortified by Dave's genuine care and commitment to his sister's dreams.
Dave took immense pride in the fact that the Universal Alert was born out of a desire to protect his beloved autistic nephew, Jayden, whom he adored, as well as Liesje's other three children, two of whom are also on the autism spectrum. This love and protectiveness fuelled Dave's passion in supporting Liesje with her project, as he understood the critical importance of the Universal Alert in safeguarding those he cherished the most.
